Interested in Starting a Chapter?
Thank you so much for your interest in building a tomorrow of servant leaders! At Fresh Friends, our mission of promoting youth volunteerism and all of its subsequent benefits wouldn't be possible if it weren't for our amazing volunteers. By starting a chapter, you are not only supporting this mission but being an active component of positive change! See the information below, fill out the form, and a representative will contact you shortly! We look forward to working with you all!
But First... the 'Boring' Part
Please read the requirements below as they contain important information for establishing your chapter. Thank you again for taking the first steps to building a better tomorrow through service!
School Chapters
At our current level, we are focused on establishing Fresh Friends Clubs within schools! Reaching high schoolers across the world is the only way our mission of improving youth volunteer rates will work. This starts with our school chapters.
Breaking Down the Leadership Board
Once your chapter has been approved, you will need a leadership board. (Trust me, it will make everything easier!)
President (or co-presidents)
As president of your schools chapter your job would be to plan/direct the chapter, manage collaboration between board members and classmates, oversee all activities, and coordinate with the Executive Fresh Friends Board.
Secretary
As secretary of your schools chapter, your job would be to take notes at each event/club meeting and share them with your leadership board/executive council.
Social Media Manager
As social media manager of your schools chapter, your job would be to post about upcoming events, document chapter activities, and post on Instagram. If unclear on what to post feel free to run it by your chapter president! Upon email approval, the executive board will create and send you information for your FreshFriends{insert school} account!
Outreach Coordinator
As outreach coordinator of your schools chapter, your job would be to find local organizations in need of volunteers and, from there, work with your chapter president and executive board to get events approved! (Once approved -- they will be added to the official event calendar!
Finally...
Chapter Requirements
Events
Chapters should hold events AT LEAST once per month. If unable to meet this requirement, please email the executive board to give a heads up. Planning events can sometimes be difficult, so if unable to get an event every month, don't worry! All events on the Fresh Friends Website are open to all volunteers.
Be Respectful of your Community and respect the Fresh Friends brand
Behavior that doesn't seem to align with the mission behind Fresh Friends of inclusion and positive community involvement will result in the immediate dissolving of your chapter.
Have Fun!
Community service shouldn't be a chore! Consider the ideas of your chapter members and explore areas in your community that are in need of help!
See our events page to get ideas for past events. -- Future events are not limited to what is listed there, but that may serve as a good starting place! --
